A number of meetings are set to take place next month over the rising costs in motor insurance.
The Oireachtas Finance Committee has made the decision to hold the meetings and it’s understood a wide range of experts and industry actors as well as campaigners will be in attendance.
Massive hikes in motor insurance has been an on-going issue across the country, with reports of one young driver in County Donegal being quoted a minimum of €5,300.
Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty has welcomed the move but says a number of issues need to be addressed:
