Glenea United beat Rathmullen Celtic today, to secure the Donegal Junior league title.
Glenea went into the game knowing that if they did not win, then Drumoghall could steal the title from beneath their nose with a win over Lagan Harps.
The league leaders didn’t leave it up to chance and secured the title with a 3-0 win over Rathmullen – Ryan McFadden with the first, Kevin Mulhern doubled the lead before Darragh McGeever secured the win on the 82nd minute.
A strong win for Glenea – who’s reserve side won the Ulster Shield yesterday – and an important win, with Drumoghall easily defeating Lagan Harps – to ensure the title goes to Glenea.
