Donegal have claimed their first points of the 2018 National Football League campaign today with a 1-15 v 3-07 win over Kildare in Ballyshannon.
Kildare led by a single point at half-time, but the second half was a tight affair that saw the sides trade the lead all throughout.
There was a point in it with 28 minutes of the second half gone, with Donegal leading, and Ryan McHugh scored Donegal’s goal 6 minutes from time, which would prove to be Donegal’s final score. Kildare added 2 more points but Declan Bonner’s men held on for the win.
