Finn Harps won their second game of the season on Saturday Night beating Waterford United 1-0 at Finn Park. The Donegal club bounced back from Monday’s cup exit to Longford with one of their best performances of the campaign. Harps made two changes to the starting side with Kevin McHugh returning from suspension and Blaine Curtis coming into partner him up front for his first competitive start for the Ballybofey outfit. The games only goal was scored by McHugh on 34 minutes, a winning strike from the edge of the area. Harps stay ninth in the table three points ahead of the bottom two sides Wexford Youths and Salthill.
Speaking with Diarmaid Doherty after the win, Finn Harps Director of Football Felix Healy was pleased with the result.
