A new survey shows that house prices for the second three months of this year fell in Donegal fell by almost 9%.
Nationally, the average house price in Ireland has dropped below 200 thousand euro.
According to property website Daft.ie, the average asking price for a residential property stood at 196-thousand euro in June – which is almost half of 2007 rates.
The average price of a three bed semi-detached house in Donegal now is €150,000, a fall of €115,000 from the peak.
Economist with Daft.ie, Ronan Lyons, says he thinks house prices in Donegal will continue to fall……..
Similar findings are revealed in a report on the border counties released this evening by myhome.ie. It also shows the asking price for 4 bed semis fell by over 5% in Donegal to €160K, some 20% below the price this time last year.
