Gardai warn of scam callers doing the rounds in Donegal

Gardai in Donegal have issued a warning after receiving reports of scam callers doing the rounds.
It is reported that scam callers are contacting residents in the county from a Dublin landline number – 01 2549791.
In an automated message claiming to be from Irish Revenue, the person is then asked to return the call as they have a criminal charge pending.
The scammers will then request bank details when on the phone to pay a fine.
However, Gardai are warning people to be vigilant.
