The Dail has been told that the budgetary shortfall at Letterkenny General Hospital could be partly addressed by a redesignation of the facility from a General to a Regional Hospital.
Speaking during a debate on an amendment to the Medical Practioners Bill designed to ease the expected shortage of Junior Doctors, Deputy Joe Mc Hugh said a change in designation would bring in more money from the private side of the hospital’s workload.
He told Minister James Reilly it’s an option that should be considered……
