Planning permission has been granted for a proposed new Waste Water Treatment Plant at Ballyness, Falcarragh, with a campaign to secure funding now underway.
Councillors say at present, there are unacceptable levels of effluent in the bay, and the way is now clear for the construction of the new plant, which is set to cost €1.6 million.
Cllr Seamus O’Domhnaill is Chair of the Glenties Electoral Area, and says for a relatively small investment, Ballyness Bay can be cleaned up.
He’s confident funding can be secured……….
