Three arrested following high speed chase in Rathmullan

Three men have been arrested following a high speed chase in Rathmullan yesterday evening.
The incident resulted in a vehicle colliding with a marked Garda car.
Shortly after 7pm Gardai in Milford were first alerted to a drunk driver in the area.
Two units were dispatched and subsequently attempted to stop the vehicle outside Rathmullan however the driver failed to stop and was involved in numerous counts of dangerous driving towards Letterkenny.
Assistance was requested from Gardai in Letterkenny and the Roads Policing Unit.
A checkpoint was set up and the vehicle was eventually stopped after it collided with a marked Garda car attached to Milford.
Three males were arrested, two have since been released and one remains in Garda custody.
