The Government is again being urged to ensure roads on Donegal’s islands are granted the same level of funding as those on the mainland.
Labour spokesperson for the Glenties Municipal District, Seamus Rodgers claims island roads such as those in Aranmore should receive regular maintenance, as they are frequented by large goods and service vehicles, as well as those who travel to and from the island daily for school and work.
Mr Rodgers is calling on Minister Sean Kyne to commit funding for offshore roads ahead of the Winter months:
