Donegal County Council has moved to confirm that all the Local Improvement Scheme funding for the Letterkenny MD for 2019 has been spent.
However there’s concern that this year’s tranche of funding falls far short of what’s required and is in sharp contrast to last year’s allocation.
This year’s allocation of 661,000 equates to less that 20% of the money sanctioned in 2018.
In recent weeks, Donegal Minister Joe McHugh indicated that money went unspent and was sent back but Cllr Gerry McMonagle says clearly, that’s not the case:
