There were 47 people awaiting in-patient beds at Letterkenny University Hospital this morning according to the INMO, 13 of them on Emergency Department trolleys.
Letterkenny was the third most overcrowded hospital in the country this morning.
Nationally, the INMO says there were 631 admitted patients waiting at hosptials across the country this morning, 85 of them in Limerick, the highest figure ever recorded in a hospital in one day.
