Brendan Boyce was one of two Donegal winners at Thursday’s National Athletics Awards in Dublin.
The Milford native, who runs under the Finn Valley AC banner, was named the Endurance Athlete of the Year after his 6th place finish in the 50k walk at the World Championships.
The other winner was Letterkenny’s Caitriona Jennings who picked up the Ultra Runner of the Year Award.
Boyce, who is now targeting a strong performance at next year’s Olympics, was delighted to get the award.
He spoke with Coilin Duffy for Highland Radio Sport.
