Three additional flood relief works for Donegal have been confirmed on foot of a visit to the county today by OPW Minister Kevin Boxer Moran.
At a meeting at the Donegal County Council offices in Lifford, €1.9 million was announced for additional projects in Ballybofey/Stranorlar, €6.8 million for Ramelton, and €3.3 million for Ludden, Buncrana.
Minister Joe Mc Hugh acknowledges it’s a slow process, but he says the works, which will help to alleviate flood risks for more than 120 properties, will be progressed as quickly as possible.
He says work already announced will go to tender without delay……….
Leas Ceann Comhairle and Donegal Deputy Pat The Cope Gallagher says the new projects announced today are the culmination of a long campaign, and he also welcomed the confirmation of additional funding for Donegal Town……………….
