An alliance involving health professionals has begun a public awareness campaign to highlight their importance.
The Health and Social Care Professions Alliance, who represent almost 40,000 healthcare professionals in Ireland, say that up to 7,000 beds in hospitals nationwide could be made available, if further investment was made in the services they provide.
