Homes evacuated in Letterkenny after early morning fire

 

Some homes in Letterkenny had to be evacuated in the early hours of this morning after a fire broke out close to a large gas tank.
The blaze happened at the back of a business premises at Oldtown.
The area was sealed off and emergency services remain at the scene this morning.
No injuries have been reported.
Local Publican Declan Jordon says the situation could have been much worse.
