Warning for Friday Night / Saturday morning
Gardai are advising motorists to exercise extreme caution on Donegal roads.
There are numerous reports of black ice right across the the county, most notably in the Inishowen area.
Gardai are impressing on drivers the need to slow down and to treat all roads as if they have black ice on them.
James Boyle of the council’s road service has echoed that message – he says the council is out gritting the roads but the black ice came earlier than was forecast:
