Government TD’s in Donegal are coming under pressure to seek a reversal of cuts in education, particularly to schools in disadvantaged areas in Donegal.
Sinn Féin TD for Donegal South West, Pearse Doherty has called on local TDs to support the Sinn Féin motion on Thursday which calls on the government to reverse cuts to schools in disadvantaged areas.
Yesterday Donegal Senator Jimmy Harte confirmed that he is to meet this week with Ruari Quinn to seek changes to proposed education cutbacks.
Deputy Doherty says he welcomes any effort from anyone within the Government to try and force the Governments hand.
And he says he wants Deputies Joe McHugh and Dinny McGinley to vote against their party…….
