Disappointment for Laura Feely as Irish women’s team miss out on World Cup place

Seven years after finishing fourth at a World Cup, the Irish women’s team have failed to qualify for next year’s tournament in New Zealand.

They lost by 20 points to 18 to Scotland in Parma.

Scotland won the game with a last gasp conversion.

Ballybofey’s Laura Feely had started the game for Ireland.
