There are calls for urgent action on flooding issues on the main Letterkenny to Stranorlar road as the winter season begins.
Councillor Gary Doherty says that a number of properties and businesses along the road have been consistently flooded during periods of heavy rainfall.
He raised the issue at yesterday’s meeting of the Lifford Stranorlar Municipal District, and says while some remedial works have been carried out, the council still have to carry out an assessment to see whether or not those works are enough to contain the water flowing in that area:
