The Freedom of Donegal is to be awarded to golfer Paul McGinley today.
A Civic Reception is being held later this afternoon at the Rosapenna Hotel in Downings.
The recognition of the sporting star comes ahead of the beginning of the Irish Legends Golf Tour tomorrow, hosted by the McGinley Foundation.
