Ireland’s European Commissioner says now could be an ‘opportune moment’ to resolve tensions around the Northern Ireland Protocol.
Mairead McGuinness says Britain and the EU are on the same side in many ways, particularly when it comes to sanctioning Russia.
Since her appointment as UK Prime Minister, Liz Truss and her new cabinet have yet to discuss whether they’d enter any meaningful negotiations on the protocol.
Commissioner McGuinness thinks now might be the time, given all of the changes in the UK……….
