Fears over future of McSwyne’s Castle

McSwyne’s castle in Donegal may only have 40 years left if it remains unmaintained.

Concerns over the future of the structure have been raised after a detailed survey was carried out to establish ways to preserve it.

Architect Duncan McLaren who was involved in the study says the castle may fall into the sea if protective measures are not put in place.

He says the monument is deteriorating at a fast pace:
