A 29-year-old man has been arrested in Derry on suspicion of animal cruelty.
Officers in the North made the arrest after reports of a dog being found injured and partially buried in Ballyarnett Country Park.
In a follow up search at a property in the Carnhill area, three dogs were removed and placed into the appropriate care for their well-being.
The man arrested remains in police custody.
