The Tanaiste anticipates some “challenging” meetings in Washington DC today regarding the Israel-Hamas war.
Micheal Martin has said however he appreciates different countries have different perspectives on conflict in the Middle East.
The US is an ally of Israel and has been the largest recipient of US foreign aid since its founding in 1948.
The Tanaiste says he fully intends to go into the meetings and outline Ireland’s policy objectives to US officials:
