Respite care at St. Joseph’s ceased with “immediate effect”

There have been calls for clarity after a Lifford-Stranorlar councillor was informed that respite facilities at St. Joseph’s Hospital have been removed with immediate effect.

It is believed the decision was made after a HIQA inspection on Friday.

Cllr Dakota Nic Mheanman says the questions the community has must be addressed immediately by the HSE.
