Over 17,400 passport applications have been made in Donegal to date this year.
It comes as 775,000 passports have been issued in 2024, with a forecast that over one million will be distributed by the end of the year.
In terms of county by county breakdown, Donegal had the ninth most requests.
Dublin, Galway and Cork filled the top three positions.
