Gardaí are urging parents to be mindful when posting back to school pictures of their children on social media.
The National Cyber Crime Bureau are advising parents to blur their school logo on their uniform, as well as any other identifiable information such as names written on belongings.
Door numbers should also be removed and the poster should ensure their location is switched off on their phone.
