Donegal primary school classes among most overcrowded in Ireland

Donegal is among the counties most likely to have oversized primary school classrooms, according to a report published in today’s Irish Independent.

It found that almost 15% of classrooms here contain 30 or more students.

While just over 23% are in a class of 20 or less.

The average classroom size is 21.8 pupils in Donegal.

That figure is 22.5 nationally.
