A founding Chairperson of the New York St. Patrick’s Day Foundation is hoping to be elected to the Seanad to represent the global Irish citizen.
If elected, he would be the first person to represent Irish people who moved abroad.
Hilary Beirne says not enough is being done to engage with people who have emigrated in a more meaningful way.
