The new €35 million smooth point quay extension in Killybegs will be officially opened today.
The project at Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre involved the completion of a 125-metre long quay development, which aims to alleviate congestion during peak season, allow a faster turn-around for vessels, and provide additional sheltered winter berthage for larger vessels.
The opening of the extension will be officiated by Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue.
