Residents have returned to their homes following a security alert in Carnhill in Derry.
Loud bangs were reported in the area at 10:45pm last night in the area, which is understood to may have been caused by two pipe bombs.
It was also reported that a three vehicles has been damaged.
Police are now asking witnesses to come forward, particularly in regards to two men that were in the area, as they continue to investigate.
