A Letterkenny Councillor has warned that a lost life buoy is a lost life.
There have been ongoing issues with life rings being tampered with in Letterkenny.
A pilot project has seen smart ring buoys installed at 20 locations across the county since June.
Councillor Jimmy Kavanagh however, is urging Donegal County Council to ensure the smart technology trackers are rolled out across the entire county:
