Car seized in Letterkenny after Gardai discover tax expired almost two years

A car has been seized at a multi-agency checkpoint in the Letterkenny area today.

Gardai discovered the vehicle’s tax had expired in January 2023.

As well as the car being seized, a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice was issued.

Issues with the motorist’s choice of fuel was also noted by customs officials.
