Fianna Fáil grassroots are backing Pat the Cope Gallagher for the party’s presidential nomination.
The Tirconaill Tribune reports this morning lobbying efforts to see the Donegal Deputy have his name on the ticket have increased ahead of a final decision in September.
Deputy Gallagher has not commented.
