A man in his 30s was seriously injured in a stabbing in Sligo town yesterday morning.
It happened in the Church Hill area shortly after 5.30am.
The man was taken to hospital, where he was later reported to be in ‘stable’ condition.
Another man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is being detained for questioning at an undisclosed Garda station.
