A petition calling for the cancellation of a far right festival in Leitrim has received the backing of Fontaines DC, The Mary Wallopers and Chris O’Dowd.
Mise Eire, run by anti immigration activist Stephen Kerr, is set to take place at the Mayflower Community Hall in Drumshambo on August 23rd.
The event features talks by author John Waters and “citizen journalist” Suzanne Delaney with critics describing it as an opportunity to spread disinformation.
Leitrim and Roscommon Against Fascism organised the petition and spokesperson Leah Doherty says it can’t be allowed to go ahead…………..
