Uisce Eireann says work will begin in the coming days to improve water supplies in the Creeslough Portnablagh area.1.4km of old water mains will be replaced with new modern pipes.
The works will take place in two phases on the N56 between Faugher and Drumnaraw.
Traffic lights will be in place while works are underway, with local and emergency access being maintained at all times.
The project, which has been welcomed by local TD Pat The Cope Gallagher, should be complete early next year.
