
Donegal County Council has been told that it is only a matter of time before there is a tragedy among defective block homeowners during extreme weather events.
Councillor Tomas Sean Devine is urging the local authority to prepare and open community centres as a place of shelter when a status orange weather alert is issued, as opposed to waiting until it is upgraded to red.
During storm Amy, just two hours notice was given before a red level warning came into force.
