A status yellow alert for wind will come into effect for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo at 4pm this afternoon.
It will last until midnight tonight.
Meanwhile, a status yellow wind warning now comes into affect at 2pm this afternoon for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Galway, Wexford and Wicklow until 8PM tonight.
