Donegal and Galway finished level at 1-17 to 0-20 apiece in the National Football League Division 1 at Fr. Tierney Park in Ballyshannon this afternoon.
Galway led 0-12 to 1-07 at the break after Conor O’Donnell’s third goal in as many games for Jim McGuinness’ side in the opening half.
Michael Langan was shown a black card just before the break and Stephen McMenamin was then shown a second yellow card on 43 minutes meaning Donegal played the majority of the game with 14 players.
Galway took advantage of the extra man and quickly edged into a six-point lead but Donegal showed heart to come back into the game late on, reducing the deficit to just a single point heading into the closing ten minutes.
As Galway put two points between the sides with a few minutes left, up popped Peadar Mogan to level the contest on 68 minutes with a two-pointer to maintain Donegal’s unbeaten record.
