A Donegal Senator has described her own experience of being involved in a road traffic collision, as she called for action on the roads.
Senator Eileen Flynn was speaking in the Seanad last week, following the deaths of seven people on Irish roads.
She says she knows the effects of road traffic collisions, having broken both her arms and legs in the crash.
