‘Council must be proactive in implementing compulsory purchase orders for footpath development’ – Cllr McGowan

Donegal County Council needs to take a more proactive approach to implementing compulsory purchase orders for the development of footpaths.

The issue was raised by Patrick McGowan during a recent plenary meeting of the council.

There have been ongoing calls for the completion of pavements in the centre of Killygordon, as well as at the bridge in Sessiaghoneil.

Cllr McGowan said these projects have been delayed for far too long without any justifiable reason:
