Donegal remains the leading sheep-producing county in the country, according to new Department of Agriculture figures.
The latest sheep and goat census shows more than half a million sheep are farmed across 6,142 flocks in the county.
Donegal also recorded the highest number of mountain cross sheep nationally, at over 117,000 animals.
On average, there are three ewes for every ram in Donegal flocks.
