A car that had not been taxed in almost 10 years has been seized in Gortahork.
An Garda Síochána say the vehicle was also found to have no evidence of insurance during the stop yesterday.
A fixed charge penalty notice was issued, with a court appearance now possible.
Gardaí are urging motorists to ensure all documentation is in order before using the road.
