Erin Friel stormed to a brilliant gold in the 400m event at the National Juvenile Championships in Tullamore yesterday.
The Letterkenny AC athlete came home in a time of 54.92 with Sofia Granjo in second and Emer Brennan third.

Elsewhere, Fintan Dewhirst improved his 400m Hurdles PB in Belgium.
Dewhirst’s time of 50.74 moves him up to sixth in the Irish all-time list, one place behind his brother Ethan.
