There’s confusion over who has to pay a TV licence.
Earlier this week, RTÉ Director General Kevin Bakhurst indicated that TVs that access channels via broadband may not require a licence.
Meanwhile, An Post, which collects the fee, maintains that anyone who watches TV programmes broadcast for general reception over broadband must have one.
