The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is to ballot its members on industrial action, up to and including strike.
It’s over what it claims is the Government’s failure to establish a clear basis for negotiations on a new public sector pay deal.
The INMO says the actual cost of nurses and midwives getting to work must form part of any national agreement and is also calling for action on unsafe workloads and ongoing staffing pressures.
