
A number of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence laws were approved by the Dáil last night including Jennie’s Law and Valerie’s Law.
They’ll provide for a public register for those convicted of domestic violence offences, and the removal or restriction of guardianship rights from a parent convicted of killing the other parent of their child.
Donegal Deputy Charles Ward said that the public register would be a ‘lifesaving resource.’
