Police in the North say a suspected pipe bomb was found in Dungiven in County Derry.
The PSNI say the viable device was discovered yesterday morning and the Foreglen Road was closed until last night as searches took place.
A controlled explosion was carried out by Ammunition Technical Officers at the scene, and the remnants of the item have now been taken away for forensic examination.
